Project for Holocaust Survivors

The Project for Holocaust Survivors provides financial assistance, social programs, and practical problem-solving help for seniors in the community who survived the Holocaust, using funds from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Those with financial limitations are assisted with emergency needs, payment for housekeeping or homecare, and a range of other necessities. Programs for social support include social gatherings and small-group meetings for women and for men, including opportunities for senior volunteer activities.  A special service, Project Lev, provides intensive case management for those without children or involved family, providing regular contact with social workers who coordinate care and help these most vulnerable survivors remain safely in their homes.  For aging survivors of Nazi persecution who have lost so much, living at home is of utmost importance to them, and Project Lev supports this essential foundation of their well-being.
